Sisifo

The International Jury of the 24th edition of the Compasso d’Oro ADI Awards presented Honorable Mention to three Artemide products. Cata, designed by Carlotta de Bevilacqua, Florensis, designed by Ross Lovegrove, and Sisifo, designed by Scott Wilson, all received the prestigious honor.

The items receiving an award or mention of honor become a part of the Compasso d’Oro ADI collection, and are valued for their “unique artistic and historical interest.”

The awarding ceremony took place at the Palazzo Isimbardi in Milan in June. Learn more about the award-winning designs below!

SISIFO – DESIGNED BY SCOTT WILSON

Sisifo is a table lamp designed to ensure great visual comfort. The patented optical system balances task and ambient lighting needs and emits a warm and relaxing LED light. The central spherical junction allows for free adjustment by rotating the diffused disc of light in any direction


FLORENSIS – DESIGNED BY ROSS LOVEGROVE

Florensis is a lighting concept for all kinds of applications, whose functions are both aesthetic and technical. The floral shape of the lamp works to diffuse indirect light and interacts with air to promote heat dissipation through the branches.


CATA – DESIGN BY CARLOTTA DE BEVILACQUA

Cata is a family of LED projectors, designed primarily for us in museum and gallery-like settings but can also be used in retail or hospitality venues The use of clear materials with reflecting surfaces makes the applicance’s presence almost immaterial to enhance the presence of light.

Cata will be available in North America in 2017
