Born in Padua and trained as an architect, Gianfranco Frattini turned to industrial design when faced with the lack of lighting he sought for interiors projects. The Boalum lamp he co-designed with Livio Castiglioni in 1970 is in the collection of the Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum.

  • The Artemide Megaron Floor LED is the new modern edition of the design classic by Gianfranco Frattini from 1979.
    The elegant uplighter convinces with its timeless outer appearance that houses the modern LED technology. However, the lighting properties known from the sister model are preserved in their entirety.
