Alphabet of Light, designed by Bjarke Ingels Group, was selected as
the Best in Category winner in the Lighting category of Architectural Record’s Record Products 2017.

The annual competition honors the best new products of the year, selected by an independent jury of designers with support
from RECORD editors.

Record Products honors the latest and best building products across 7 categories:
Furnishings, Lighting, Windows, Doors & Openings, Kitchen & Bath, Facades, Finishes, and Building Systems & Components.

As judge Carrie Moore, AIA, Director of Skidmore, Owings & Merrill explained:

“Seamless light is always something designers are trying to achieve.
Alphabet of Light offers lots of potential for various applications.”

Alphabet of light can be used to design light in a space with words as well as graphic signs
using simple base modules with specific geometric proportions that can be combined
to create countless linear or curved structures of light.

The linear and curved LED modules can be combined to form
a system of letters, numbers and symbols as well as free or closed compositions.
